Alex Lowde

Alex trained at Hull University and Motley Theatre Design Course. In 2007 Alex was part of the UK team exhibiting at the Prague Quadrennial, with his designs for Tobias and the Angel which was designed for The Opera Group and John Fulljames. 

Recent and current work includes: Victory Condition (Residenz Theater Munich, 2018); Flood (Artistree Building, Hong Kong, 2017); Greek (BAM New York, 2018), All My Sons (Dundee Rep, 2019)

For Dundee Rep: She Town, Mill Lavvies, Anna Karenina, Equus, Beauty and The Beast and The Elephant Man all in collaboration with Dir. Jemima Levick.

Previous work includes: Taking over the Asylum (Lyceum Edinburgh and Citizens, Glasgow); Carousel (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland); Pinter’s One for the Road and Victoria Station (co-production between The Print Room and the Young Vic); A Clockwork Orange (Theatre Royal, Stratford East); Beyond the Rave (Pure Grass Films); The Adventures of Mr Broucek (Opera North and Scottish Opera, dir. John Fulljames); Le Nozze di Figaro (Sadler’s Wells and Buxton Festival); Paradise Moscow (Royal Academy of Music); The Gentle Giant (Royal Opera House Education, Linbury Theatre and tour); Tobias and the Angel (TOG, The Young Vic and English Touring Opera); The Nose (The Opera Group); Candide (Buxton Festival); The Threepenny Opera (Richmond Theatre); Triptych (Cambridge University); Angelic to Alnwick and Romeo & Juliet (costume - Newcastle Playhouse); new writing season for Paines Plough, Finborough Theatre.
