“Botis’ political, theatrical and experimental take on hip-hop might just make him the next big thing”
In 2015, Botis was nominated by Breakin’ Convention and awarded the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund, Marion North Mentoring Award. Through the Sadler’s Wells Wild Card programme, Botis was asked to curate InNoForm in the Lilian Baylis for September 2015. Two sold out nights were curated in association with Breakin’ Convention, which saw him present exerts of current and ongoing work with Far From The Norm, alongside special guest Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante and an international collaboration between British Council Tunisia & Art Solution with Chouaib Brik (Tunis) & Lee Griffiths (UK).

2016 saw Botis go on to present InNoForm at the British Dance Edition in Wales. He also undertook a 2-week residency in Tunisia with the British Council & Chouaib Brik’s Art Solution to start to build their hip hop theatre scene. Botis presented work at the two largest international choreographic competitions: Choreography 30 in Hannover, Germany and Copenhagen’s International Choreographic Competition. He was awarded 1st place at both competitions and audience choice award, as a result he undertook a one-month scholarship to work with Gary Stewart’s Australian Dance Theatre on December 16.
Worked with Scottish Dance Theatre and choreographed TuTuMucky which premiered in Feb 2017
