Scottish Dance Theatre and Bridge Awards grow Dundee's dance initiatives as new Dance Development Officer welcomed to Dundee Rep.
Scottish Dance Theatre and The Bridge Awards are delighted to welcome Scottish School of Contemporary Dance at Dundee & Angus College graduate, Amber Dollin for a two-month-long paid Dance Development internship.
Over the two month long post, Amber will develop and lead a project designed for community engagement, with a strong inter-generational focus. Amber says: “I am extremely grateful to have been given this unbelievable opportunity straight out of the degree program at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance. I am excited to embrace this internship and all that it entails whole heartedly and start to explore some of the aspects my future career may hold.
During the course of the internship - as well as taking on a wealth of new knowledge and skills - I will be delivering a series of intergenerational workshops which aim to connect and develop relationships between the generations through the enchantment and nostalgia of ‘Dandelions’.”
The workshops will be held at Scottish Dance Theatre’s studio at Dundee Rep Theatre from 11 July, and there are two ways participants can take part. A series of one-off workshops are available, as well as the option to participate in the full project over the course of two weeks, culminating in a studio sharing for friends and family.
Both experiences are free of charge, and open to all ages.
