This week marked the closing class of Contemporary Dance Technique, led by our fantastic Creative Learning team. But don’t worry, we’re already working on our next season of classes, which begin on 15 January 2019. Here’s a wee look at a few of the dancers who’ll be teaching next term, alongside some of the works they’ve created and appeared in.

Charlotte Mclean (22 Jan)

Charlotte (pictured) is no stranger to the Creative Learning team, having been a member of the SDT Young Company prior to embarking on full time dance studies at The Space. She trained at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and the London Contemporary Dance School, and has performed across the world in works by Joan Clevillé and Eva Recacha amongst others. She recently performed in Pink Mama Theatre’s Jungle, playing Vicky, a chav feminist, and is currently working with the company again to premiere FASHION in January 2019, at Damfzentrale, Bern.

He’s fresh from performing in balletLORENT’s After Dark at Northern Stage, celebrating the 25th dance-iversary of the company, taking elements of la nuit intime and The Night Ball.

She is also developing her own choreographic practice and is training in Feldenkrais in Milan under Mara Della Pergola.
