Pavlova's Dogs by Rachel Lopez de la Nieta
Pavlova's Dogs is partly Inspired by some of the early experiments in psychology where certain ethics where questionable. The work is set up as an experiment that marries an enquiry into the world of dance and the roles that men and women have been handed down through the generations with broader questions surrounding meaning, perception and the pantomime of Life itself in a dark and humorous way.
Transformation is also a big theme in the work. Notions of beauty are set up, undermined and then allowed to survive.
