Make An Impact

We rely on support from trusts and foundations to deliver our creative learning programmes in the community, as well as to develop new work.

One recent example of how a Trust's support can make a big impact on our work is below. If you would like to find out more about what can be achieved, please contact our Development team today.
For Scottish Dance Theatre’s 30th birthday, Artistic Director Fleur Darkin and Head of Creative Learning Dawn Hartley wanted to launch a youth dance company in the Whitfield area of Dundee, one of the lowest-income neighbourhoods in the country.

Check out our short film below about how the project came about, why it’s unique to Dundee and how it’s stamped with our particular Scottish Dance Theatre style!

We are grateful for the support of the People’s Postcode Trust and the Northwood Charitable Trust for helping us launch this inspiring new youth dance project in 2016/17.

Love your national contemporary dance company and help secure its future by leaving us a legacy
